Shavkat Rakhmonov – The 28-year-old is currently riding a 16-fight win streak, with four of them coming in the UFC. Rakhmonov is perhaps the single most unorthodox fighter that the UFC has ever laid its hands on. Nomad is proficient in all facets of mixed martial arts.

Geoff Neal will undoubtedly be Rakhmonov’s toughest test yet in his MMA career, given the style and power he carries in his fists. With Rakhmonov and Neal booked to fight, the past week was flush with media day obligations.

And although it went under the radar, Rakhmonov had quite some thoughts to get off his chest regarding the UFC Welterweight division, its athletes, and certain other combat sports athletes.

Shavkat Rakhmonov has made a bold prediction regarding the outcome of prospective fights between the likes of Khamzat Chimaev, former 170lbs champion Kamaru Usman, Boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and himself.

Speaking to the media during fight week, Rakhmonov had certain interesting insights to share concerning the talent-packed Welterweight division.

When asked about the consequences of any potential bouts between himself and some of the biggest stars in combat sports today, Rakhmonov did not flinch in his response.

A reporter queried Rakhmonov as to whether he could beat the likes of Kamaru Usman, Khamzat Chimaev, Leon Edwards, and Tyson Fury. The Kazakh national responded with a blunt face and said,

“Yes”

Khamzat Chimaev didn’t take too kindly to the words and responded with a laughing emoji at the claims that he would.

Although, in relation to Fury, Rakhmonov made sure to provide clarity in his response.

He said: “Yes, in MMA”

The 170lbs contender did have a hysterical response when he was posed with the question if he could eclipse the arduous challenge of beating Francis Ngannou.

Rakhmonov laughed and responded, “No”

Only time will tell whether or not his prognosis is right, but rest assured, from what the 28-year-old has displayed thus far, he certainly possesses the arsenal to outlast them and explicitly beat them.

What’s next for Shavkat Rakhmonov if he wins?
Shavkat Rakhmonov’s MMA game is as polished as they come. So far, none of his opponents has been able to detect any holes in his skillset, let alone capitalize on it.

The 170lbs pose a threat in all aspects of the sport for his opponents and is competent enough to nullify the threats his opponents pose as well. The onus now falls on the Kazakh to put his money where his mouth is.
