Fortunately, Donna Lochman, an experienced animal rescuer at the Missouri shelter, came to her rescue.
Her heart sank when she noticed the dog sitting in front of the family home with its sad eyes fixed on the road. He was so thin that his ribs were clearly visible. The dog’s face lit up when Lochman met him.
He immediately started wagging his little tail and walked towards her with his head down. It was as if he knew immediately that she was there to help him. Lochman discovered that his back paw was injured.
She hugged the cute dog, which became soft in her arms. As she petted him, the dog rested his head on her leg, comfortable with the display of kindness and love. He had waited so long for this moment.
Lochman led him to his car. The beautiful dog was ecstatic and couldn’t stop wagging his tail.
